It just got more expensive to send your mail.

The cost of a "Forever" stamp increased from 50 to 55 cents - the biggest price hike in postal service history.

Old "Forever" stamps are still valid for those of you who may have stocked up.

Priority mail prices also increased, by nearly 6%.

The postcard rate is still 35 cents.

The USPS reported a net loss of nearly $4 billion last year.

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
