Washoe County Regional Animal Services (WCRAS) will hold a low-cost vaccination, microchipping and licensing clinic at Scolari's, 5430 Sun Valley Blvd., in Sun Valley September 23 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Core vaccinations include: Distemper/Parvo, Bordetella Boosters and Rabies vaccinations for dogs and FVRCP and Rabies vaccinations for cats.
The pet limit is three dogs and seven cats per residence. Free microchips will be available for both dogs and cats.
Shyanne Schull with the WCRAS says that this event gives everyone the resources to keep your animals safe in case they ever get lost, "study shows one in 3 pets will get lost in their life time, so microchips really serve has a permanent identification to help those animals be reunited if they ever get lost from you."
Dogs over four months of age are required to be licensed in Washoe County. Dog licenses are $8.00 for dogs that are spayed/neutered or $20 for dogs that are not spayed/neutered.
