Students in elementary and middle school are invited to participate in the free Virtual Summer Learning Program through the Washoe County School District (WCSD).

District personnel will be available to discuss the Virtual Summer Learning Program during a Zoom call on June 18th at 11:30 a.m.

WCSD is offering free materials online and in hard-copy packets for summer camp-themed activities for students in Kindergarten through 8th grade.

The activities are designed to support students’ academic journeys during the summer months, incorporating reading, math, STEM, and physical activity, as well as fun and enriching activities in collaboration with PBS Reno, The Discovery Museum, Urban Roots, Sierra Nevada Journeys, and the Washoe County Library System.

As with Distance Learning during the traditional school year, materials will be available online or in hard copies, which will be distributed at school sites on June 22, 23, and 24.
