TSA: Some at US-Bound Airports Must Turn On Phones

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security is warning Windows PC users to uninstall QuickTime from their computers, as the software is now vulnerable to hackers.

Apple announced it will no longer provide security updates for QuickTime because its lifecycle has expired. Software security firm Trend Micro says critical bugs have been found in the software, and hackers can exploit these vulnerabilities.

Trend Micro says the bugs only affect Windows users, not Mac users.

Though no attacks have been made against these vulnerabilities, officials say the only way to protect Windows computers is to uninstall QuickTime.

To uninstall the program from your computer, you can find a list of detailed steps on Apple's website.
