An alligator caused traffic delays on Wednesday on Houston area roadways.Â
The alligator parked itself on the shoulder of a busy bridge near the Houston suburb area of Baytown.
At least one lane of traffic was blocked as several officers, including officials from Texas Parks and Wildlife, placed a roped around the reptile's neck.Â
After the alligator wrestled and spun on the ground, officers were able to hold it down and tape its mouth shut.Â
The alligator was reportedly put in the back of a truck and released in a nearby waterway.
