Authorities Say 'Shelter in Place' Order Lifted at Reno Justice Court |

Authorities say a ‘shelter in place’ order was in effect for both Reno Justice Court and District Court in downtown Reno.

The Washoe County Sheriff's Office says it received a 'vague tip' that they are investigating.

They say there was no direct threat to the public.

The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office says Court Street was closed from Virginia Street to Rainbow, and Sierra Street was closed from 1^st Street to Court.

Both courthouses and area roads have since been opened.

There's no immediate word on what caused the incident at the South Sierra Street building. RJC is a court of limited jurisdiction and is divided into three main divisions: citation, civil and criminal.
