Authorities Seek Man Who Disappeared From Parole in December

The Division of Parole and Probation wants you to be looking out for a man who disappeared from parole in December.

47-year-old Raymond Eugene Barnes was convicted of attempted assault with a deadly weapon last year.

Investigators say he hit someone while driving drunk and when the person tried to stop him from leaving the scene, he pulled out a knife and tried to stab that person.

"He was found to be in possession of a motor vehicle and was intoxicated at the time and ultimately an altercation ensued and he was taken into custody,” says Sgt. Ryan Osborn/Nevada Division of Parole and Probation.

Barnes is 6’1”, 165 pounds with the names Julie, Isaac, Kyle and Joey tattooed on his right arm - and a cross on his left hand.

Authorities say although his exact whereabouts are unknown, it’s suspected that Barnes remains in the Reno area.

If you know where he is call the Fugitive Apprehension Unit at 775-684-2644.
