Business was booming in Reno because of the holiday of love. Valentine's Day kept many restaurants, flower shops and wedding chapels booked solid.
Italian restaurant Campo began receiving calls for Valentine's Day dinner reservations about three weeks ago. In fact, the restaurant was still receiving calls the day of the holiday.
Manager Elise Vandenverg says it'll be hard to get walk-ins for a dinner table.
“I answered the phone last night at about 11 or 11:30, someone looking for a reservation for a party of four today but unfortunately we were fully booked,” says Vandenverg.
Business was steady all around town. Bumblebee Blooms flower shop sold over 2000 roses alone for this year's holiday and has over 250 deliveries to handle on Saturday. Their employees came into the shop early Saturday morning to prepare for the late shoppers.
Then there were people who committed to a bit more than flowers on Valentine's Day, many people were getting married. On Saturday, the Arch of Reno Wedding Chapel was booked to celebrate a wedding about every thirty minutes.
