Carson City will once again use sheep to cut down on wildfire fuels, starting this Sunday.Â
Two bands of sheep will graze parts of Carson City, the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest and Washoe Tribe land.
The first band will enter Carson City on the north end of town near Timberline and behind Western Nevada College starting Sunday, April 11.Â
The second band will graze the area behind Greenhouse Garden Center starting Tuesday, April 13.
Dogs will accompanying the sheep with signage in place letting people know to keep an eye out.
The sheep will graze through Carson City through the end of May.
