A mobile home fire sparked a small brushfire near the top of Mt. Rose early Monday morning, fire crews say.
The Logan Fire started around 9 a.m. on Monday off Mt. Rose Highway and Logan Meadows Lane and spread to wildland, sparking a small brushfire less than an acre in size.
Black smoke could be seen across the valley.Â
Truckee Meadows Fire & Rescue tell us they are investigating the fire.Â
TMFR says the mobile home was empty when they arrived on scene.Â
Sparks Fire, Reno Fire and the U.S. Forest Service assisted, keeping the fire away from homes.Â
Officials say calm conditions and a quick response helped to prevent a significant wildfire.Â
