Community Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month with Fiesta |

September is Hispanic Heritage Month, and many businesses and organizations in Northern Nevada are celebrating with fiestas!

Ahora Latino Journal and Tu Casa Latina are hosting "Fiesta on Wells 2018" on Sunday, September 23. There will be food, music, crafts, artists and much more.

The Fiesta will be from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on South Wells Avenue, between Casazza Drive and Capitol Hill.

“This is an event organized by the community for the community,” said Mario DelaRosa, one of the organizers of the event. “We know that these events create awareness in the community about the Hispanic community, who we are and the things that we bring to the table,” DelaRosa said. “In these times, it’s very important to come out and celebrate and be proud of who we are.”
