Reno Fire Department says people were evacuated at the Continuing Education building at the University of Nevada, Reno Wednesday morning because of a report of smoke.
RFD says that they saw a small amount of smoke through the HVAC system entering into the third floor.
About 50 people were evacuated from the building for approximately 30 minutes while crews checked the basement through the rooftop with thermal imaging cameras. UNR Police assisted with traffic control during the evacuation.
Officials say they isolated the fire to a mechanical system and the smoke cleared after about 15 minutes.
RFD says there were no reports of injuries and no complaints of smoke inhalation.Â
