The Washoe County Regional Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the man who died after being struck by a train on Sutro Street in Reno Monday morning.
The ME's Office says 52-year-old Chris Nolte, of Reno, died on scene.
The cause and manner of death are pending investigation.
Union Pacific says the train hit and killed Nolte at approximately 4:30 a.m. on Monday off of Wells Avenue.
Reno Police responded to the scene.
In a statement, Union Pacific says the train crew was not hurt.
Nearby roads were temporarily closed, but have since reopened.
