UPDATE: An innkeeper selling tickets for campers this week in a tiny Nevada desert town is being threatened with legal action by the originator of the "Storm Area 51" internet hoax over the "Alienstock" name.

A Las Vegas attorney representing 20-year-old Matty Roberts sent a cease-and-desist letter last Thursday telling Little A'Le'Inn owner Connie West to pull the plug on events West says she's still planning Sept. 19-22.

Despite these legal threats, officials with 'Alienstock' in Rachel, Nevada say the event is still happening at the Little A'Le'inn on September 19th through the 22nd.

They say the event has been planned and approved, and all permits, permissions, and down-payments have been made and correctly filed to allow the event to happen.

Roberts broke with West this week and says he'll appear at a party venue in downtown Las Vegas Sept. 19 - the night before the Life is Beautiful music and art festival begins a few blocks away.

The Nevada National Guard is providing communication support for the Lincoln County emergency services as a result of the Lincoln County emergency declaration.

They say they have no plans to deploy soldiers or airmen to act as security forces or to augment any law enforcement.

However, they want to remind people that any attempt to access a federal installation illegally is highly discouraged.

Those who trespass on a federal installation without proper authority will be apprehended until they can be turned over to the appropriate law enforcement authorities and are subject to local and federal penalties and prosecution.

The Alienstock event in Rachel will features two stages, 35+ artists, a band stage headlined by Boots Electric, Willy Savage and an EDM stage headlined by DVDDY and Prymrr, according to a press release sent on Monday.

Original: AlienStock will now be held in downtown Las Vegas as an alternative site, after a permit holder did not reportedly comply with several details.

The free AlienStock event is now scheduled for September 19th at the Las Vegas Events Center.

A statement was posted to Alienstock's webpage reads:

What Happened to Alienstock?

Due to the lack of infrastructure, poor planning, risk management and blatant disregard for the safety of the expected 10,000+ AlienStock attendees, we decided to pull the plug on the festival. The permit holder (Connie West) was given multiple opportunities to provide us with the proof that things expected at this festival were in place. In fact, she refused to provide to us, as agreed upon, contracts, proof of deposits or any paper proof of anything.

We are officially disconnecting from Connie West, Rachel NV and AlienStock's affiliation with them. We will no longer offer our logo, social media, website or Matty Roberts likeness or scheduled appearance. In short, the relationship has ended permanently, and AlienStock will be moving to a safe, clean secure area in Downtown Las Vegas as an alternative.

We are not interested in, nor will we tolerate any involvement in a FYREFEST 2.0. We foresee a possible humanitarian disaster in the works, and we can’t participate in any capacity at this point.

AlienStock is a brand that stands for unity and concern for like minded people. It’s grown into much more than a location. It’s a phenomenon that can only promise absolute safety and peace, and we need to move the Festival to guarantee that. Stay tuned for more news... it’s BIG!

We also reached out to Connie west with the Little A’Le’Inn but have not heard back.

Rachel is the closest habitation to the U.S. Air Force Base within the Nevada Test and Training Range long-rumored to contain evidence of UFOs and extraterrestrial life.

Last month, Lincoln County Commissioners approved moving funds from an emergency fund to pay staff to help manage the event.

However it's unclear if those resources will stay in place because some people may still show up at the event in Rachel.

According to the original Facebook page, 'Storm Area 51' two million people are still attending the event in Rachel.

We have placed calls with commissioners to find out those answers.
