Dog Kennels Busy Over Christmas Break

When you go on vacation, not everybody can bring their pet. That's why local kennels are seeing one of the busiest weeks of the year. At Charlie's Place in west Reno, there are nearly 100 dogs staying there for the Christmas week.

Those dogs get to enjoy their vacation in style, from planned activities, play time, daily walks, and even some fancy kennels. The manager tells us they've been booked up for Christmas since the first week of October.

"Generally when people go on vacation, they go out of town," said Kellai Rodriguez, the General Manager of Charlie's Place. "So they need somebody that will take care of their animals the way they would take care of their animals."

And they even have cameras there so you can watch your pet on your smart phone, just in case you miss them when you're far away.Â
