An investigation is underway after an early morning fire destroyed a home in rural Palomino Valley.

Truckee Meadows Fire & Rescue says the fire started just before 1 a.m. on Thumbs Up Road.  

Crews arrived to a fully engulfed home. 

No one was hurt.
