Former UNR Star Quarterback Colin Kaepernick Makes Surprise Appearance At Saturday Nights Game Against Idaho State

Former Nevada Wolf Pack Quarterback, Colin Kaepernick made a surprise appearance at the 2020 and 2021 UNR Hall Of Fame Dinner on Saturday where he and 8 other athletes in multiple sports were enshrined into the University Hall Of Fame.

Earlier in the week, multiple media outlets reported that Kaepernick would not be in attendance for the event.

Kaepernick, who graduated from UNR as a star student athlete in 2011 went on to play quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers after college and gained national attention in 2016 when he began to kneel during the playing of the national anthem to protest civil rights issues such as police brutality and racial injustices.

Kaepernick was also in attendance for the Wolf Packs Football game against Idaho State Saturday night for the Halftime Ceremony where the new Hall Of Fame class were honored.
