The City of Reno announced today they are waiving parking meter fees this week in downtown Reno.
Free parking at metered locations will be offered between the area south of I-80 and Liberty Street. Meters will show a "Free Parking" message on them.
The City of Reno wants to provide an extra incentive for residents to support local businesses during last-minute holiday shopping.
Metered parking operations will resume Monday, December 28.
