Nevada Governor Joe Lombardo's office has approved $64 million in funding to support the expansion of attainable housing opportunities across the state. It's through the Nevada Housing Access and Attainability Act.

Projects getting support in northern Nevada: 

• $1.8 million will go toward the Hi-Way 40 project in Reno, bringing 28 new rental homes to Washoe County. 

• $4 million will be used for the Alpine Vista project which will support the development of 145 for-sale homes in Reno.

• $2.5 million will go to the Formation Homes Project, brining 54 for-sale homes to Fernley, Sun Valley, and Golden Valley.

• $8 million will support the Townhomes at Fremont project in Fernley, bringing 293 rental homes.

• $5 million will go toward the Wilson Landing Project in Fernley, adding 37 for-sale homes.

$750,000 of the funding will support the Rural Nevada Development Corporation, providing homebuyers' assistance in Carson City, along with Elko, Lincoln, Esmeralda, Lander, Lincoln, White Pine, Lyon, Mineral, Storey, and Douglas Counties, among others.Â
