Nearly 1,200 NV Energy customers are currently without power across Douglas County.
NV Energy says a windstorm caused two of the larger outages, which started around 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
Other outages remain under investigation.
Power is expected to be restored around noon.
High winds are also affecting portions of California. Heavenly Mountain Resort closed for the day.
