Leader of North Korea, Kim Jong Un met with the President of South Korea, Moon Jae-in for a North-South summit meeting on Friday morning.
North Korean's Central News Agency said Kim would "open-heartedly" discuss with Moon "all the issues arising in improving inter-Korean relations and achieving peace, prosperity and reunification of the Korean peninsula."Â
The summit was the first time a member of the Kim dynasty would meet with South Korean leaders since the end of the Korean War in 1953.
  Â
It was held on the south side of the Demilitarized Zone and the North Korean Central News Agency reported that after the talks, Kim will plant a memorial tree with Moon.Â
They plan on making the results of the talks public after attending a dinner hosted by Moon before Kim returns to Pyongyang.
