House Fire in Southwest Reno

 The Reno Fire Department extinguished an attic fire this morning in Southwest Reno on the 600 block of Manzanita avenue. 

Mark Winkelman of the Reno Fire Department told reporters that firefighters were called to the scene when the home owners returned to their home and smelled smoke. The fire department was able to get there quickly and extinguish the flames but there was significant damage to one bedroom and the attic. No one was injured. 

The origin of the fire is still under investigation.
