The Nevada Department of Corrections says an inmate died Saturday at the Northern Nevada Correctional Center in Carson City.
Authorities say 56-year-old Terrance Smith died Saturday afternoon in the Northern Nevada Correctional Center Hospice Unit.
Smith was committed from Clark County serving 10 years to life with the possibility of parole for sexual assault.Â
Smith arrived at the NDOC on January 8, 2003.Â
The Carson City Sheriff’s Office Coroner responded. An autopsy is being scheduled to determine the cause of death.
Family members were notified.
