If your head is in the clouds RenegadeAV8R wants you to know of opportunities in the aviation industry.

It's launching a STEM project featuring the PZL TS-11 Iskra Polish Jet Trainer. The TS-11 was used as an advanced jet trainer for pilots prior to moving into aircraft like the Russian-built, supersonic, MIG-21.

The goal is to utilize the developing skills of the professionals of tomorrow to revive the technology of yesterday to meet and exceed world records held by the TS-11 Iskra in the 1960’s.

"We're going to show the world how good this airplane is. We're going to as high as 60,000 feet; almost the edge of space. We're going to go faster than 80 percent the speed of sound." said David Costa, the RenegadeAV8R pilot, and CEO of Renegade Jets LLC.

Costa says the aviation and aerospace industry is continuously advancing, however he says a potentially massive roadblock also comes into view.

According to studies, Aviation and Aerospace skilled labor shortages are nearing “crisis” level, pointing to the year 2022 as “the year of reckoning.”

The RenagadeAV8R's goal is to inspire a team of young adults to take a leadership role in several aerospace world records! Participants will work hands-on and help rebuild the military jet. No specific skill set is required and people of all ages are encouraged to join, cost-free.

"A lot of times when you're new to an industry, the industry is driven by old guys. We're gonna change that." said Costa. "We're focusing on Gen-Z to come on out and be involved with bus as we break records with a jet that's over 50-years-old, world records have stood for over 50 years, a pilot that's somewhat over 50-years-old, and young people calling the shots and doing it."

The project will also be filmed and documented every step of the way as an inspiration to many more young people to seek skilled jobs found in the aviation market. It is based in the Minden-Tahoe Airport, however people have the option off participating remotely.

Unique partnerships with universities and technical schools, as well as corporate sponsorship help make the world record project a reality.

RenegadeAV8R’s engages in podcasts, videos, and airshow performances.
