On Saturday mornings, kids are jumping away at Flight Trampoline Park in Springfield, Virginia, but they're not the only ones.

"It's an intense workout. I leave this class drenched."

Yvonne Rannels is a regular at class called "flight fit."

"We do a lot of jumping, running up the trampolines, it's a lot of work.. exhausting.."

And it's more than just bouncing up and down. "We have medicine balls, resistance bands, dumbells, kettel bells, battle rows.."

Instructor Jenny Mahaffey tries to make each class different.

"You see the dodgeball courts.. there are ramps.. you're going up and down, up and down.. really good cardio...we just try and mix it up between that, the cardio and the strength so it's a full body balanced workout."

Trainers say trampoline workouts improve heart health and bone density, speed up metabolism and boost the lymphatic system, which rids the body of toxins during a typical trampoline workout, jumpers say they burn 800 or more calories. It's low impact, so it's easy on the knees and joints. And then there's the fun factor.

"Here I am at 35.. you just feel like a kid again!"

Rannels says trampoline workouts helped her drop about 50 pounds.

Having tried other classes.. this is hands down her favorite.

"If you have a choice between going to the gym, and coming and bouncing and having a blast? You would choose trampoline!"

And her little jumper likes it too.

Trainers says classes can be tailored to most fitness levels - but pregnant women are advised against trampoline exercise.Â
