The Las Vegas area has now seen its first human case of the West Nile virus this year.
  Â
The Southern Nevada Health District on Tuesday announced that a woman over the age of 50 has been infected by a more serious, neuroinvasive form of West Nile.
  Â
The woman who isn't being identified was been treated and released from the hospital.
  Â
County health officials had found mosquitoes with West Nile last month and this marks the first human case in 2016.
  Â
There was one person reported infected last year.
