The Lyon County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting that injured a motorcyclist in Fernley Saturday afternoon.
Deputies responded to a report of shots fired at the Fernley International Raceway on Vine Street around 2 p.m. Three motorcycle riders there told deputies that they were riding near Ceresola Flats, when one of them was shot in the elbow.
The victim's injury is not life-threatening.
Deputies say Ceresola Flats is a common area for target practice. Deputies interviewed several people who were shooting at the time, but they have not determined who fired the shot that injured the motorcycle rider.
Deputies say the shooting does not appear to be malicious in any way.
