UPDATE: The Washoe County District Attorney's Office says a man convicted of adult human trafficking was sentenced to ten years in prison.

Officials said 34-year-old Brion Ingram pleaded nolo contendere to one count of sex trafficking of an adult in October and was sentenced on November 17.

He is eligible for parole beginning after a minimum of four years served.

He was on parole from Alaska for charges of robbery with use of force at the time of his arrest in Nevada, and this sentence will run consecutive to the remainder of his Alaska sentence.

The case against Ingram began on January 8 when detectives started a narcotics investigation that expended into human trafficking charges. Police stopped Ingram at a traffic stop and officers found narcotics on him. He was allegedly trafficking his 23-year-old female passenger, who was engaging in acts of prostitution for money that would go to him. He was arrested after that.

The Regional Human Exploitation And Trafficking Team (HEAT) was involved in the case.

Original Story, May 2020: Reno police say a man already in jail for sex trafficking charges now faces additional charges related to the same case.

Police say Brion Ingram was arrested in January 2020 on other charges including drugs and living on the earning of a prostitute.

This month, detectives assigned to the Human Exploitation and Trafficking Unit (H.E.A.T) say they found out that he was continuing to pander to the same victim and manipulate her "by encouraging her to engage in prostitution."
