The health care worker quarantined at a New Jersey hospital by state mandate because she had contact with Ebola patients in West Africa is sharply criticizing the way she is being treated.
Kaci Hickox, the first traveler quarantined under the state's Ebola watch, says in a first-person account for the Dallas Morning News (http://bit.ly/1w4Vi4J) she was stopped Friday at the Newark airport, questioned for hours and no one would explain what was going on or what would happen to her.
Officials say she was taken to a hospital after developing a fever; she says she was merely flushed.
Hickox has tested negative for Ebola in preliminary tests. She's to be quarantined for 21 days.
New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie says he sympathizes with her but has to do what he can to ensure public health safety.
