All schools within the Tahoe Truckee Unified School District are closed Friday due to stormy weather. 

All school activities are also canceled unless otherwise notified.

TTUSD says the decision was made based on the National Weather Service's high confidence in heavy snowfall starting in morning and continuing into the evening, creating potential visibility issues due to high wind and a hazardous driving situation for buses, families, and staff.Â
