Traffic is moving slowly along US-50 near Aspen Creek as crews respond to a box truck that went off the side of the road.
According to a post from CHP South Lake Tahoe, the incident is causing delays while Caltrans District 3 and hazmat teams work to recover the truck and clean up the area.
Drivers are being urged to slow down and give workers plenty of space.
The circumstances leading up to the crash have not been confirmed, and it is not yet known if anyone was injured.
Recovery efforts are ongoing, and no estimated time for reopening all lanes has been given.
