Chain controls are in place on roads across northern Nevada and the Sierra, with closures on a few as well.
Among the closures are portions of I-80 and Mount Rose Highway. A portion of U.S. 50 is closed in California, as are sections of State Routes 88 and 89.
Chain controls are also in place on I-80 through Reno and Sparks to the California state line, as well as on the other side of the closure that begins at the state line and runs to just past Kingvale.
I-580 and U.S. 395 also have chain controls throughout the region, as do portions of U.S. 50, Kingsbury Grade, State Route 88, State Route 89, and State Route 267.
State Route 208 and U.S. 95 Alternate also have chain controls in place.
