Fire crews fought several lightning-sparked fires within the Plumas National Forest over the past 24 hours.

Fire crews say lightning continues to have an impact, despite little to no rain and they're concerned about fires starting even after storms.

They say thunderstorms look to decrease throughout the week and into this weekend.

Meanwhile, Tahoe National Forest crews say over the past 24 hours there's been 1,241 lightning strikes although with several fires. If you see one, you're urged to call 911.
