U.S. Alt 95 crash in Yerington

A deadly two-car crash has shut down a portion of U.S. 95 Alt. near Luzier Lane in Yerington. 

The crash happened just after 9:30 a.m. on Friday, near McLeod Street. 

Nevada Highway Patrol says one driver died while the second driver was flown by helicopter to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.

There's no immediate word on what caused the crash - or when the crash scene will be cleared. NHP says the closure could last up to six hours.  Â
