The remains of an adult man have been recovered at Donner Lake Friday afternoon.
Earlier today, Truckee Police and first responder agencies were called out the west side of Donner Lake on a report of a possible drowning.Â
After searching on the lake, Truckee Police say the remains of an adult male were located about 140 feet beneath the surface.Â
Preliminary information reveals the man was last seen tubing without a life jacket.  Â
The remains have been turned over the Nevada County Sheriff's Office for identification.

The Truckee Police Department and several first responder agencies are on the scene of a possible drowning at Donner Lake on Friday afternoon.
TPD got the call about the incident around 12:10 p.m., according to a post on their Facebook page.
Responders are searching at the west end of the lake for a missing man last seen in the water.
The public is asked to avoid the area to allow agencies to do their work safely and effectively.
