Two people have been arrested in southern California after allegedly stealing more than $200,000 worth of Apple products from a truck stop in Sparks.

Sparks Police say the theft happened Thursday morning at the Alamo Truck Stop on East Gregg Street.

Police took a report and notified the California Highway Patrol to be on the lookout for a white cargo van containing the stolen cargo.

With the help of a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s helicopter, CHP officers found the van on I-5 in the Burbank area and conducted a traffic stop, according to a release from CHP.

Investigation uncovered a large number of stolen Apple products, according to the release, and two suspects were arrested.

“The CHP maintains an active role in fighting cargo and retail theft across our great State. We collaborate with allied agencies nationwide, and we will employ all our available resources to ensure the integrity and safety of our state’s transportation system, commerce, and consumers,” said CHP Southern Division Chief Chris Margaris. “Cargo theft, retail theft, and crime in general will not be tolerated in California.”

The case remains under investigation.
