As more winter storms move into the area, chain controls and wind alerts have been issued on area roads.
A chain control is in place on Mt. Rose Highway from Mt. Rose mile marker 10 to Diamond Peak.
There is also a chain requirement on California 88 from California 89 to Mormon Emigrant Trail.
A wind alert has been issued for I-580 from Mt. Rose Highway to Eastlake Boulevard and for U.S. 395 Alternate from Eastlake Boulevard to I-580.
Vehicles over nine feet are advised to use caution on these roads.
