The City of Reno has promoted Ashley D. Turney to the role of Assistant City Manager.
Turney takes over for Eric Edelstein, who left the position earlier this month after accepting it in January to return to his position as President of the Reno Aces.
Turney began her new position on December 4th. Before her promotion she was the city's Chief Innovation and Experience Officer.
As Assistant City Manager she will support the City Manager with the coordination of several city departments and initiatives.
“Ashley brings a comprehensive and versatile skill set to the position and is committed to making Reno not just livable, but lovable,” said City Manager Doug Thornley. “Her contributions to the City have been invaluable and I am excited to see her in this new role.”
Turney joined the City of Reno as City Clerk in 2015 after working in the local and federal affordable housing industry, including time with the Reno Housing Authority and a state contractor for the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
