October 6, 2023 Update

The Elko Police Department has arrested a man suspected of breaking into Blohm's Jewelry store and stealing around $30,000 worth of merchandise.

Police say they located 39-year-old Tyrell Holley at a residence near the business.

They were able to take him into custody yesterday with the assistance of the Nevada Division of Parole and Probation.

Officers booked him in the Elko County Jail on multiple counts of burglary, one count of malicious destruction of property, and a parole violation.

A judge has set Holley's bail at $450,000 with no bail hold placed for the parole violation.

The department attributes Holley's quick identification to tips submitted by community members.

The department is working to retrieve all of the stolen property.
