The Washoe County coroner has identified the two people killed after a crash on I-80 west near Robb Drive late Wednesday night.

The coroner says 29-year-old Christian Alicea died on scene, while 25-year-old Jacob Merritt died later at Renown Regional Medical Center. 

The coroner says both victims died from multiple blunt force injuries.

Two cars were involved. The first one hit a guardrail and rolled over and both people who died were in that car.

Specifics on how the second car was involved have not been released, but nobody was hospitalized from that car.

The cause of the crash is not yet known, and the investigation remains ongoing.
