Recently, Firefighters from Sparks and Reno participated in the Seattle Stair Climb, all to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
Firefighters climbed 69 floors wearing full firefighting gear and while breathing through their SCBA and raised over $8,000 for cancer research.
In total, all departments that participated this year raised over $2 million for the cause.
The Reno Ice Raiders and Scheels were sponsors for our local firefighters who participated.Â
