Travel will be dangerous in the Sierra beginning late Sunday, but especially late Monday through Tuesday as a second low slips into the area. Snow is likely in the valley as well, especially early Tuesday. The Tuesday morning commute will be slick for all of the Truckee Meadows, and in spots on Monday.

Wednesday morning and evening will be very slick, as we dig out from the storm. There will still be lingering snow showers on Wednesday, but the heaviest snow will be on Tuesday.

Snow totals will vary greatly within Reno itself. Areas close to the Reno Airport and downtown will get between 3-8" inches of snow between early Monday and late Wednesday. Virginia City will get between 10-18" of snow. Places like Caughlin Ranch and the North Valleys will get between 7-15" of snow. Plan on shoveling snow in the valley by early Tuesday.
