Jeremy Renner's RennerVation Foundation held an event in Virginia City on Saturday, hosting 150 foster kids to give them a Christmas experience.

He created the foundation after a snowplow accident injured him severely last winter.

Renner wanted the focus to be on the kids and asked for no cameras, so 2 News was unable to capture the event, but his team says Renner's new calling is helping him in his recovery.

"He's doing great and appreciating the love from everyone and this is an important step for him to a full recovery," said Romilda De Luca, CEO of the RennerVation Foundation. "Just donating his passion and his time and his energy to the kids. He will fulfill his energy to be perfect back in shape."

Renner will be announcing more information about his foundation in the coming days.
