Lanes will be reduced on I-80 in Verdi from June 3 to 6 while the Nevada Department of Transportation conducts bridge inspections.
The lane closures will take place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.
The speed limit will be reduced to 55 miles per hour while inspections are taking place.
On Monday, June 3, lane closures will be in effect on westbound I-80 between Mogul and Boomtown.
On Tuesday, June 4, they will take place on eastbound I-80 between Boomtown and Mogul.
On Wednesday, June 5, they will be in effect on westbound I-80 between Boomtown and Gold Ranch.
On Thursday, June 6, lane closures will take place on eastbound I-80 between Gold Ranch and Boomtown.
NDOT inspects most Nevada bridges every two years, although bridges with more deterioration will be inspected more often, and newer bridges will be inspected less often.
