A magnitude 4.24 earthquake was recorded approximately 50 miles northwest of Carlin, Nevada, 71 miles east and northeast of Winnemucca, and 32 miles north of Battle Mountain, according to the Nevada Seismological Laboratory at UNR.

On Monday, the earthquake was reported at 09:28 a.m.
