In honor of National Recovery Month, the final 3 renovated cottages on STEP2's Lighthouse Campus have been unveiled during the 8th annual BAC2Gether event.
The celebration was hosted by the Builders Association Charity, STEP2 staff, board members, and local home builders.
Over the course of the partnership, all 25 cottages on the STEP2 campus have been refurbished at no cost to STEP2.
In June of this year, three northern Nevada homebuilders along with their subcontractors and suppliers each 'adopted' one of the remaining three one-bedroom cottages.
They donated their time, services and materials to give the 20+ year old homes an update.
While each cottage usually gets a refresh after a family moves on from the STEP2 program, this marks the first time these three cottages have undergone this depth of makeover.
Clients who move into the cottages are able to take the furnishings with them when they transition to independent living.
