Camp RennerVation is underway again this year at Lake Tahoe and will run through July 5.
It began on June 30, according to the RennerVation Foundation website.
The non-profit says they wanted to give kids the experience of a typical summer camp where they can participate in a range of activities, especially some geared towards the Fourth of July holiday.
"We're right now having a weeklong camp where they're all getting to be able to sit under the Fourth of July fireworks at Lake Tahoe here," said Kym Renner, CEO of the RennerVation Foundation.
The non-profit was founded by actor Jeremy Renner.
It focuses on serving children in foster care by providing them with programs to help with housing and also preparing them for adulthood.
