The Carson City Sheriff's office is asking for the public's help in locating a missing 16-year-old girl, believed to have run away from home, earlier this month.Â
16-year-old Xochitl Garcilazo was last seen on the Fourth of July and has not returned home, and investigators believe she may be in the Gardnerville area.

Xochitl is described as a Hispanic girl, 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing 210 pounds, with black hair featuring a red stripe in the front, and brown eyes. She has a nose piercing in her right nostril.
Her current whereabouts are unknown, but authorities believe she may be in or around Gardnerville.
