The City of Sparks recently announced the launch of the Sparks City Hall Gallery, a new initiative dedicated to showcasing the work of local artists.
The program will feature a rotating gallery located in the foyer of Sparks City Hall, and will highlight new artists every quarter.
A call for art has been opened exclusively to Sparks residents.
The gallery space inside the main entrance of the Sparks City Hall sees approximately 2,000 visitors per month, which should offer decent exposure to the selected artists.
Artists are invited to submit a single body of work, consisting of 4-10 pieces, for consideration. The Sparks Arts and Culture Advisory Committee will review the submissions and select each artist to be featured for a three-month period.
There is no cost for submissions.
If you're interested in submitting your own art, submit an artistic statement along with examples of your proposed body of work to the city by September 23.
For more information and to apply, visit the City of Sparks website.
