The Truckee River Flood Management Authority (TRFMA) is proud to release Restore & Protect, a new documentary showcasing its long-term efforts to reduce flood risk while restoring the Truckee River ecosystem.
Released in celebration of Earth Week 2025, the film highlights how TRFMA and its community partners, like The Nature Conservancy in Nevada, One Truckee River, and many local, state, and federal agencies, have worked together to restore nearly 8 miles of the river and conserve over 450 acres of vital natural habitat.
The documentary features stunning aerial footage, lessons learned from past restoration projects, and a behind-the-scenes look at how thoughtful planning and collaboration have created lasting environmental impact.
TRFMA’s efforts are helping build a more resilient and vibrant Truckee River for both people and wildlife.
